The sun was shining and we finally to met in a park for for some fun outdoors photos.
What they have to say
#tbt on this gorgeous Spring wedding in May last year. I love documenting when cultures mix they make the most fun weddings… and now I hear they have a baby boy, can’t wait to meet him.
I absolutely loved photographing Logan and Ali’s wedding at Ash Lawn. I love when two cultures mixes it makes for the most fun weddings. The day was perfect a Spring day. They got ready in a gorgeous private home in Keswick, La Fourche and then we went to Ash Lawn where the ceremony and reception took place. The ceremony was performed by Ali s’ sister and Logan’s dad, which made it for a very personal ceremony…and then it was a big party where everyone danced and finished the evening with a sparklers exit.
#tbt on the kind of rainy day we have been having but such an amazing wedding day for these two. I absolutely loved photographing their wedding day. Happiness and love were felt the entire time. Lesson learned: never let the rain tarn your day but embrace it!
What fabulous day it was! The rain only added fun to their wedding day. I loved documenting their joy and happiness. They got married at Castle Hill Cider. The Moroccan theme they chose for the details and decor was so warm. There were so many personal details from the hanger that was made from her mom’s dress to the flower girls basket. Maggie from The Creative Batch was the planner. Catering by the Local. The lovely flowers were designed by Flora Culture. Make up and hair by Charlottesville Make up artist Thanks Kirsten.
Today on #tbt I want to remember Caitlin and Matt’s gorgeous Spring wedding. I have such a fund memories of their day filled with so much love and attention….and those peonies! I love peonies for Spring and Summer weddings!
I had such a fabulous time photographing this wedding at Farmington . I loved going over Caitlin’s parents’ house to document the anticipation of the big day. We then went to Farmington Country Club for some bridal portraits and family photos. Then off to St Paul of Ivy for a lovely, intimate ceremony and back to the Club for some fun dancing. Caitlin and Matt are probably one of the sweetest couple I have ever met. They stood by each other’s side the entire day, dancing, mingling, having fun…. I love it!

With wedding season right around the corner, I could not help but think back at Liz and Clayton’s wedding at Pharsalia last Spring. What a magical day it was. One of my favorite wedding venues in the Charlottesville area.
I often feel repetitive but I have enjoyed documenting so many wonderful couple’s wedding this past Spring. I loved being a part of Liz and Clayton’s wedding at Pharsalia nestled in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their outdoor wedding was full of personal attentions and Pharsalia is a magnificent venue with breathtaking views.
Liz’s wedding dress was made from her mom’s. Clayton’s wedding bend was molded from his grand mother’s wedding ring. The fireplace stand during the ceremony belonged to Liz’s grand parents’ farm…. The whole day was magical. Enjoy this tiny preview of this Charming Southern wedding.
Catering by Tucker Yoder for Eljogaha pop up restaurant). Planning by Schuyler Somers from a little party event. Thank you Rachel!
These engagement photos were taken a few months back on the first nice day of the year. It was so fun to walk around Richmond and their black lab is so sweet and well behaved. Can’t wait to document their wedding day in August.
I love the work I do for Augusta Health Hospital, AHIP, YMCA, the UVA Malcolm Cole Child care Center and various companies around Charlottesville.
It is always so enriching to speak with people about their life experiences and to document their stories.

Hopefully this post can make you all smile a little. May 2016 bring peace, health and happiness to all.
What a fun day!!! First the ladies got ready at The Jefferson Hotel. Then we went around the Virginia Museum of Modern Art for their first look and portraits, followed by a lovely ceremony at St Marks and finally an evening of fun at at The Commonwealth Club. Needless to say I had the best time photographing their wedding.

Caroline from PoshPR was their planner and made sure the day ran smoothly. Sweets from Pearl’s bake shoppe Yummy donuts from Carpe donut Thanks Kirsten.
Lately I have been photographing lots of little boys and I will not lie my heart is nostalgic as my boys are so big. I miss those times. Meet Luke. He is going to be a big brother very soon.
The past month has been very busy and the blog has suffered a bit. Portrait sessions are in full bloom and it is so fun to see all the lovely families I get to see every year.
The kids had so much fun picking apples at Carter’s Mountain.
