I wanted to do a best of my 2011 weddings on one post but there are too many I liked so I decided to do it by theme.
Some of my favorites from Laura and Jim who got married at the UVA Chapel.

To this day, it is one of my favorite photo, the ladies singing “going to the chapel…”

I cannot believe that you guys will celebrate your one year anniversary in about a month!
Honored to have Hope and Eric’s wedding featured on the Washingtonian blog today

Leora and David needed some portraits done and I was so happy to meet by Montfair resort Farms last week on a chilly morning.

This past Sunday my husband Nick and cville uncorked blogger went to Blenheim vineyards to taste some of their wines(not yet bottled). Nick and his partner Justin Billcheck have started to put together the Blue Ridge Oyster Festival which will take place on April 21st (so mark your calendars) and some of the Blenheim wines will be featured at the event.
Blenheim wines are my kind of wines! Kirsty, the wine maker was trained in California and France and you can definitely appreciate the French influence. Her wines are well-balanced and not over powering. We tried the Chardonnay (25% aged in American, Hungarian, and French barrels for 5 months), White Table Wine 2011 (2/3 Viognier, 1/3 Chardonnay – all stainless steel), which is perfect for a picnic or a summer lunch. It has a bouquet that reminds you of summer…really! and The Rosé 2011 (All stainless steel. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Mourvedre), again a perfect bottle to open for apéritif or a light lunch or supper.
Blenheim is a gorgeous venue! They also offer drinks and food that are kid friendly.

Awesome legs!

I just love that shot. It makes me think of the beach and it is our Virginia backyard.

I love taking pictures of food but it is always easy while making dinner for my family. As a side note, I love that my little chef decided to be a vegetarian and he is actually eating all his veggies. This kid has an amazing palate!
Thank you Claire for posting my best wedding photos on the Charlottesville Wedding Blog
I love delicious food and I love when it looks pretty! I guess this passion started when I was a little girl and I was watching my grandfather, who was a chef cooking in his kitchen.
Thank you Mark from L’Etoile. Bon appetit!

Philadelphia has a special place in my heart as it was the first place I lived when I moved to the US twenty years ago. My youngest son had been wanting to go see the Liberty Bell for the longest time so over the Christmas break we decided to go for a few days. It is always fun to play tourist in a city where we used to live.

So happy to have Lauren and John Adam’s wedding at the Main Street Station in Richmond featured in Richmond Bride. I love to see my work on magazines!
Here are some photos from Michelle and Justin’s engagement session in Staunton taken last week. So much fun to walk around Staunton. Living in Crozet, I should definitely take more advantage of this quaint little town with cool coffee shops and restaurants.
I love engagement session it is such a great way to get to know the couple before their wedding and makes everyone more comfortable. We started with sweet and romantic photos around town and finished at their house for fun shots.
I am looking forward to photograph their wedding next year at the Frontier Museum, which will be my first time photographing a wedding there. I love working at new venues it always get my creative juices going.
Thank you Little bit heart for featuring Amanda and Tony’s wedding in your real wedding.

Last month I had the pleasure to cover this lovely event at Pippin Hill to celebrate PBS opening Show “Charlottesville Inside Out” season 5.
The evening was full of entertainment with a Belly Dancers show, a performance from the Charlottesville Dance company a Fashion show and the performance of Ellis Paul. The beautiful flower presentation was designed by Ken Ward from Couture Design. Blue Light Form provided the lighting.
